Two Women Detained After Fight at USC Village

Two women were detained Friday following a fight at USC Village that resulted in one of the women being cut on an arm.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department assisted USC Department of Public Safety personnel in responding to the student living and retail complex following an argument between two women, resulting in an injury, according to Department of Public Safety Assistant Chief David Carlise.

The two women are unaffiliated with the university and were both detained, Carlisle said.

The injured woman was taken to a hospital for treatment, the Daily Trojan, USC’s student newspaper, reported, citing information from Carlisle.

The area near Sweetgreen’s patio was roped off with caution tape as the scene was being investigated.
