A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Corona this week.

Officers from the Corona Police Department responded to the 2600 block of South Main Street around 7:20 p.m. Thursday regarding a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The woman was rushed to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to the police department. Investigators don’t believe alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. They said the pedestrian was walking eastbound across South Main Street outside of a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound.

Anyone with additional information about the accident was encouraged to contact Officer Jacob Westall at 951-817-5784.
