Marina del Rey boaters spotted a woman’s body about a half-mile west of the harbor entrance Saturday, prompting an investigation.
The body was located in the water and reported at 2:36 p.m. Saturday, according to Lt. Paul Carmona of the Marina del Rey Sheriff’s Station. Her cause of death was unknown.
Deputies were investigating at the scene, he said.
A decision to call out homicide detectives was pending, Carmona said.
