A magnitude-3.3 earthquake occurred Sunday near Indio and surrounding areas, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was recorded at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, and the epicenter was marked about 12 miles from Indio.
People in Desert Hot Springs, Coachella and Palm Desert may have felt a weak rattle, but no significant impacts were reported.
