Police sought potential additional sexual assault victims connected to a 33-year-old rape suspect, who was taken into custody and later released on bond.

Detectives from the Topanga Division received reports from a 23-year-old female victim on Jan. 15 regarding a sexual assault while receiving medical treatment in the San Fernando Valley, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

After investigating the allegation, detectives identified Julius Czar Francisco as a suspect.

Francisco was located by officers at about 5:50 p.m. on Jan 16 near the 12300 block of Osborne Street, near Glenoaks Boulevard, in Pacoima, where he was taken into custody on suspicion of rape by force.

According to jail records, he was released from custody on a $100,000 bond.

“Due to the nature of the assault, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division Sexual Assault Unit believe there are unreported victims of Francisco,” police said in a statement.
