Firefighters put out a fire in a townhouse in Temple City Wednesday morning, then deputies had to deal with a woman on the roof of an adjacent home who appeared to be having a mental health crisis.

The fire was reported at 6:30 a.m. in the 10000 block of Nadine, near Baldwin Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, whose crews arrived on scene four minutes later.

The fire was put out by 6:54 a.m. and a search turned up no victims.

As crews battled the fire, a woman could be seen throwing objects from an adjacent roof.

A fire department spokeswoman said that there was a “patient” on the roof, but had no addition details.

Deputies were on scene trying to get the woman off the roof.
