A 75-year-old man who went missing after last being seen in Compton last month has been located, prompting the cancellation of a Silver Alert, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced Wednesday.
Otis Walker was last seen about 6:40 p.m. Jan. 23 near South Haskins and South Tarrant avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the Silver Alert on Monday on behalf of the sheriff’s department.
Authorities did not immediately release details about when or where Walker was located or his condition.
The CHP’s Silver Alert program is used to help locate missing elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
