A pedestrian was injured Wednesday after being struck by a train in the Vermont Vista area of South Los Angeles.
The collision was reported about 10:20 a.m. on Union Pacific railroad tracks in the 11600 block of South Vermont Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The injured person was transported to a hospital. Information regarding the victim’s age, gender and condition was not immediately available.
