Police were continuing their search Saturday for two suspects accused of fatally shooting a man and wounding another at the Westfield Culver City Mall.

Officers with the Culver City Police Department responded at 7:25 p.m. Friday to reports of shots fired in the north parking lot of the shopping center at 6000 Sepulveda Blvd., the department reported.

They located a man in his 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A second man, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was later located at a hospital, police said.

Two firearms were recovered at the scene of the shooting, according to a police statement.

Multiple police departments from surrounding areas responded to assist in the search for two suspects believed to be involved in the shooting.

“A drone was deployed to assist in the search, and Sepulveda Boulevard between Berryman Avenue and Centinela Avenue was temporarily closed to vehicle traffic,” according to the statement. “Police activity in the area concluded just before 7 a.m.”

Culver City police urged anyone with information regarding the shooting to call them at 310-253-6302 or send anonymous tips to tips@culvercity.org.
