Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 9:30 p.m. Sunday to South Western Avenue and West 82nd Street regarding a collision. When they arrived at the scene, they learned the driver was traveling north on Western when they struck the victim, who was walking west on West 82nd, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
