A 33-year-old Santa Ana man pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to attempting to entice a girl to make child pornography for him.
Luis Anthony Vega began chatting online with the girl in February 2023 and asked her to meet with him to have sex, according to his plea agreement. He offered to pay her $300 to spend the night with him and another $50 to make sexual content for him, according to the plea deal.
Vega persuaded the girl to send him “pictures of herself engaged in sexually explicit conduct,” according to the plea agreement.
When he was arrested for allegedly stalking a Santa Ana police officer Vega had three videos of child pornography on his cellphone, according to the FBI.
The FBI’s search of the phone showed Vega was communicating with a girl in Bakersfield.
Images on the device showed a 10- to 12-year-old girl “wearing leather bondage attire,” as well as more explicit photos, the FBI alleged.
Investigators also found nude images of a girl who appeared to be 8 to 10 years old, the FBI alleged.
Vega was scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 8.
