An Endangered Missing Advisory is in effect Wednesday for a 43-year-old man who was reported missing in Torrance.

Daniel Salgado was last seen at approximately 1 p.m. at Torrance Boulevard and Earl Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Tuesday on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Salgado is Latino, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, a blue sweater and gray pants. Authorities believe Salgado is traveling on foot.

Anyone who has seen Salgado or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.

An Endangered Missing Advisory is issued when a developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or other at-risk person has gone missing under unexplainable or suspicious circumstances to provide immediate information to the public and aid in their swift recovery.
