Police Friday are investigating a stabbing and a fatal shooting that left a man dead in Santa Fe Springs.
Officers from the Whittier Police Department responded at approximately 5:27 p.m. Thursday to a shots fired call at a residence in the 11600 block of Telegraph Road and Jersey Avenue. When they arrived at the scene, officers found the two victims — a man and a juvenile — suffering from gunshot wounds and stab wounds, respectively, the police department said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the juvenile victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
According to police, there are no outstanding suspects.
Whittier police detectives remained at the scene for several hours and the investigation remains ongoing.
