A 59-year-old transient was charged Thursday with attacking a 50-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter walking home from a bus in Anaheim.
Jose G. Gudinosanabria is accused of attacking the women about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Avenue and East Street, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Matt Sutter.
Gudinosanabria attempted to pull them into bushes and said he would sexually assault them, Sutter said.
The victims “fought him off” and managed to snap a photo of him, Sutter said.
A good Samaritan driving by picked the victims up and helped them get away, but they neglected to get her name, Sutter said. Police hoped to track down the good Samaritan to help detectives in their investigation, Sutter said.
Gudinosanabria was charged with two counts of attempted kidnapping to commit a sex offense, a count of assault with the intent to commit a sex offense and a count of assault of a minor with the intent to commit a sex offense, all felonies.
