An Ebony Alert is in effect Friday for a 24-year-old man reported missing in Carson.
Ahijah Williams was last seen at approximately 9:45 p.m. Thursday near Scobey Avenue and East Denwall Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert Saturday on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Williams is Black, 6 feet tall, weighs 160 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray dress shirt and black pants. Authorities believe Williams is driving a white 2019 Toyota Corolla with a California license plate 9RVE628.
Anyone who sees Williams or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help locate missing Black children, teenagers, and young adults ages 12 to 25 who have disappeared under unexplained or suspicious circumstances, or who are at risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or abducted.
