A 59-year-old man was wounded Saturday in a drive-by shooting in the Green Meadows area of South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Avalon Boulevard and 98th Street, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The victim was standing in the area when the suspect drove by and shot him, the officer said. The suspect drove away. A possible motive was not immediately known and suspect description was not available.
Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs, he said.
