Authorities Tuesday continued to investigate a three-vehicle collision in Lake Elsinore that left one person dead and two others hospitalized in critical condition.
The crash was reported at 9:33 p.m. Sunday in the area of Highway 74 and Trellis Lane, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
All three drivers sustained major injuries and were taken to a hospital. One was later pronounced dead, the agency said.
The identity of the deceased driver was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
