Multiple people were reported injured as a result of a stabbing at an intersection in downtown Los Angeles Sunday, prompting authorities to close off the area.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Seventh and Flower streets in downtown L.A., according to a post on X by the LAPD Central Division.
The incident began at 5:15 p.m. Sunday with a report of a nearby stabbing in the 500 block of West Seventh Street, LAFD firefighters told CBS News, adding that victims were found in two different locations.
One person was hospitalized, while five others were being assessed by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics at the scene, CBS2 reported.
Circumstances leading up to the incident remain under investigation, and authorities have not yet announced any arrests in relation to the incident.
