A three-vehicle crash sent a blue sedan careening into a doughnut shop in the unincorporated Westmont area of South Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 11:28 p.m. Sunday and occurred at West Century Boulevard and South Normandie Avenue.
A witness told the CHP that a vehicle ran a red light and crashed into him, and a vehicle crashed into a doughnut shop, leaving someone trapped inside.
Video from the scene showed a blue sedan next to the damaged Kindle’s Donuts. Firefighters were shown tending to a man on a gurney who was sitting up and talking on his phone.
The other vehicles were a red car and a dark sedan.
The CHP was investigating the crash.
