A 47-year-old man was found shot to death Monday in an alley in Historic South-Central Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Fire Department initially responded around midnight Monday to the north-south alley at Broadway and 41st Street, a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department Operations Center told City News Service.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound, the officer said. His name was not released pending notification of relatives.
The LAPD was summoned to conduct a crime scene investigation, he said.
Video from the scene showed the street blocked with yellow crime scene tape and patrol vehicles lined up along the street with yellow lights flashing.
