A 22-year-old motorcycle rider who was killed when he crashed into a car making a U-turn in front of him in the Porter Ranch area of Los Angeles was identified Tuesday.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Saturday on Reseda Boulevard near Beaufait Avenue, according to Sgt. Kilgrow of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Bureau.
The driver of the car was making a U-turn from northbound Reseda to the southbound side when the car was broadsided by the motorcycle, Kilgrow said.
The man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
The victim was identified Tuesday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Kevin Montiel, who sustained blunt force injuries.
The crash remained under investigation, Kilgrow said.
