A suspect was taken into custody Tuesday in connection with a stabbing that injured a woman in downtown Los Angeles.
The attack was reported around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday near Hope Street and Olympic Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The woman was conscious and breathing when she was taken to a hospital, police said.
She was stabbed in the neck, according to a broadcast report.
The suspect, described as a man about 30 years old with dreadlocks, fled on foot in an unknown direction but was later located and taken into custody at about 2 p.m., police said.
No additional details about the suspect were immediately available.
