Authorities continued their investigation Monday into an apparent stabbing in La Quinta.
Deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at 5:56 p.m. Sunday in the 58000 block of Jefferson Street, according to Sgt. Robert Martinez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
They found a person suffering from injuries consistent with a stab wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Deputies were unable to locate any additional victims or a suspect after they conducted a search in the area.
