Two people suffered critical stab wounds Thursday in Sherman Oaks, and their alleged assailant was on the loose.
The stabbings were reported about 4:50 a.m. Thursday in the 13900 block of Chandler Boulevard, just east of Hazeltine Avenue and about a block away from Chandler Elementary School, Hazeltine Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The two male victims, whose ages were not disclosed, self-transported to a hospital and were listed in critical condition, an LAPD officer told City News Service.
The suspect was described only as a man in a black shirt. He fled the scene in a gray Honda Accord, police said.
A possible motive for the attack was not immediately known.
