A man was struck by two hit-and-run vehicles and killed in the Winnetka area of the San Fernando Valley, authorities said Saturday.
A black Chevrolet Camaro going southbound on Winnetka Avenue struck the man at about 10 p.m. Friday as he was crossing outside a marked crosswalk at Winnetka and Sherman Way, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
He was then struck by a white Ford truck as he was lying in the roadway.
Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“Detectives recovered vehicle parts at the scene that may assist in identifying the suspect vehicles,” according to a police statement.
