Anaheim police Monday were investigating the shooting of a 50-year-old man in the city over the weekend.
The victim was shot at about 4:20 p.m. Sunday at Claudina Street and Valencia Avenue, according to Sgt. Matt Sutter of the Anaheim Police Department. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery but was expected to survive, Sutter said.
The victim is a documented gang member out of Santa Ana so investigators suspect the shooting was gang-related, Sutter said.
