A 21-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed when he crashed into a vehicle in a Central-Alameda intersection, authorities said Monday.
The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at East 53rd Street and Compton Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.
The motorcycle rider was southbound on Compton Avenue and the vehicle was eastbound on 53rd Street when the collision occurred, he said.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the ground, the spokesman said. Paramedics rushed the motorcycle rider to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. His name was not released pending notification of relatives.
