A knife-wielding woman was barricaded in an apartment complex near Van Nuys Monday, and a SWAT unit was deployed to try and get her to surrender, authorities said.
Officers responded at about 7:30 a.m. Monday to an apartment complex in the 13500 block of Sherman Way, just east of Woodman Avenue in the Valley Glen area after getting a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
A woman with a knife was barricaded inside the building, a Los Angeles Police Department officer said.
No further information was immediately available.
