Irvine police were investigating a two-vehicle crash Saturday that sent one person to a hospital with minor injuries.
The time of the crash at Portola Parkway and Yale Avenue was not immediately disclosed, but was under investigation at 5 p.m., according to Irvine Police Department spokesman Ziggy Azarcon.
There were no details available about the injured person or the cause of the collision.
One person reportedly fled the scene and another was detained for questioning, Azarcon said.
