It took a team of more than 30 firefighters 11 minutes to put out a fully involved house fire in the Green Meadows area of South Los Angeles Sunday.
The fire was reported at 4:39 p.m. Sunday at 310 E. 111th Place, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jamie Stewart.
The vacant house was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived, Stewart said. They took up defensive positions outside of the house working to drown the fire while protecting nearby structures.
The fire was out at 4:50 p.m., he said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
