A 38-year-old man who was fatally shot in Koreatown was identified Monday.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division responded to Ardmore Avenue and Eighth Street around 8:40 p.m. on April 13 regarding reports of a shooting. When they arrived at the scene, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, an LAPD officer told City News Service.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office identified him Monday as Amandor Vasquez, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Two men riding e-scooters were seen leaving the scene of the shooting, according to a broadcast report.
