A man wanted for speeding was arrested Tuesday after colliding with a parked vehicle in Paramount, the California Highway Patrol reported.

CHP officers responded to a report of a motorcycle going more than 130 mph on the Long Beach (710) Freeway and Del Amo Boulevard in Long Beach around 2:04 a.m. Tuesday, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.

The suspect continued driving at high speeds as he transitioned from the 710 Freeway to the Glenn Anderson (105 ) Freeway before exiting at Garfield Avenue and entering a nearby neighborhood.

The suspect eventually crashed into a parked truck near Racine and Fairlock avenues and ran away, Garcia said.

CHP officers took him into custody in the 13900 block of Florine Avenue in Paramount.
