A man was hospitalized Wednesday after rolling over his car in a fiery crash in the Harvard Heights neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 11:29 p.m. Tuesday to Olympic Boulevard just west of Western Avenue where the driver was spotted speeding, driving recklessly and barely avoiding parked vehicles, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.

The suspect crashed the car near the 3110 block of Olympic Boulevard, police said, where the vehicle burst into flames, coming to rest on its roof.

Police arrested the driver, who was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics in an unknown condition.

It was not immediately clear if he was suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
