A married couple and another man were killed Friday in a Baldwin Park shooting that may have been a double-murder-suicide.

The gunfire was reported about 5 a.m. Friday in the 3200 block of Millbury Avenue, near Bresse Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene, while the second man was taken to a hospital, where he also died, sheriff’s officials said.

The sheriff’s department confirmed that two of the victims were husband and wife — an 80-year-old man and 56-year-old woman, both Asian.

Lt. Steve DeJong told reporters at the scene the second man appeared to be in his 60s.

“We’re hearing rumors that our unidentified male may be our suspect, but we still obviously need to canvass the neighborhood to look for video and continue our investigation to confirm that fact,” he said.

He said there were no previous reports of domestic violence at the home.

Neighbors told reporters that a relative of the slain married couple arrived at the shooting scene Friday and said another relative was the shooter.

The Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau was assisting Baldwin Park police in the investigation.

The shooting marks the second fatal attack in a week in the area. Around 5 a.m. Saturday, a 15-year-old Ontario boy was fatally shot and two Baldwin Park men, aged 20 and 21, were critically injured in a shooting in the 12900 block of Bess Avenue.

Anyone with information regarding the fatal shooting was urged to contact the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or visit lacrimestoppers.org.
