A person was killed Tuesday in a traffic crash in Hawthorne.
The collision was reported at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday on southbound Crenshaw Boulevard at Rosecrans Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP issued a Sigalert for both north- and southbound lanes at the Hawthorne Police Department’s request because of the heavy police presence.
No further information was immediately available.
