A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Pacoima Tuesday evening.
Firefighters responded at approximately 8:15 p.m. Tuesday to the 13500 block of Paxton Street in Pacoima, near San Fernando Road, to conduct a rescue after reports of a pedestrian being hit by a train.
Firefighters pronounced the victim dead at the scene, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jamie Stewart said,
A passenger on the train was evaluated, but no injuries were reported, Stewart said.
