Police gunfire erupted Friday as officers responded to a burglary call in South Los Angeles, but it was not immediately clear if anyone was hit.
Officers were sent about 4:50 a.m. to investigate a possible burglary in the area of Normandie Avenue and 78th Street east of Manchester Square in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
No officers were injured, but information on the status of a suspect or suspects was not immediately available.
