Fire Saturday damaged a single-story duplex in Sun Valley, where a dog at the scene received oxygen due to smoke inhalation, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 11:25 a.m. to 8041 N. Wilkinson Ave. had the fire out within 21 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
“All occupants and pets of the dwelling safely exited,” said Jennifer Middleton of the Los Angeles Fire Department. “One dog is receiving additional oxygen support from firefighters due to smoke inhalation.”
No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
