A woman was fatally shot Monday in Rosemead, and a man was detained.
The shooting was reported about 6:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of Strathmore Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the sheriff’s department reported.
Sheriff’s officials said Monday afternoon that a man had been detained in connection with the killing, but no details were released about what precipitated the shooting or the possible relationship between the man and the victim.
