A 49-year-old felon was charged Tuesday with attempting to rape a woman in Santa Ana.
Salvador Osorio Pineda was charged with assault with felony counts of the intent to commit a sex offense and attempted forcible rape.
Pineda was convicted of attempted burglary in 2016 and assault with a deadly weapon in 2019, according to court records.
Police and prosecutors did not immediately respond to requests for additional details.
