A 16-year-old girl went missing in Gardena and police Thursday were asking for public help locating her.
Aniyah Cole was last seen in the 800 block of 173rd Street around 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, which occasionally handles or assists Gardena police in certain cases.
Aniyah is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs about 230 pounds and has red hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black sweater and black pants and white shoes when she was seen leaving the 173rd Street location on foot, police said.
Anyone with information that could help reunite the teen with her family was urged to call the watch commander at the LAPD’s Southeast Station at 213-972-7828.
