A 7-year-old boy who went missing from Santa Monica, prompting the issuance of an Endangered Missing Advisory, has been located, authorities announced Thursday.
King Darius Lozada had been last seen at about 6:50 p.m. Monday near Arizona and Stanford streets. He was believed to be with suspect Darius Jackson, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Santa Monica Police Department.
Authorities said King and Jackson have since been located, though officials did not disclose when or where they were found. It was unclear if Jackson was taken into custody in connection with King’s disappearance.
The CHP issues an Endangered Missing Advisory to help locate a child or other endangered person who has been abducted or is unable to care for themselves and whose safety is believed to be in danger.
