A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Hemet, police announced Friday.
Rheanna Granado of San Jacinto was fatally injured shortly after 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of Kirby and Cyprus streets, according to the Hemet Police Department.
Officers found an unresponsive rider and began rendering aid until parademics arrived a short time later, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Granado was traveling southbound on Kirby Street at an unconfirmed rate of speed when she “left the roadway for unknown reasons and a collision occurred,” the department stated.
Officers believe no other vehicles were involved, police said.
