A stabbing suspect was found dead Tuesday after barricading himself in an Exposition Park-area home for several hours.
The stabbing was reported at about 4:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of West 37th Drive, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Police said the suspect barricaded himself for about four hours before investigators discovered that he was dead at the scene.
KTLA5 reported that the 31-year-old suspect and the 58-year-old victim are father and son.
No details about the suspect were immediately released, including a cause of death.
It was unclear what prompted the stabbing.
