A Silver Alert was activated for an at-risk 72-year-old man last seen in Long Beach Thursday.

Juan Munoz was last seen at approximately 11 a.m. Thursday near South Street and Cherry Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department.

Munoz was described as a 5-foot-5-inch-tall man weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a red hat, jacket, white shirt, tan pants and brown shoes.

Anyone with information regarding Munoz’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
