A Silver Alert was in effect Friday for a 88-year-old man who was last seen in El Monte.
Craig Reeves was last seen at approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday near Fairview Street and Cogswell Road, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the El Monte Police Department.
Reeves is white, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds has white hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue button-down shirt and blue jeans.
Police said Reeves is believed to be driving a silver 2010 Chevrolet HHR with a California license plate number DP754YF.
Anyone who has seen Reeves or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
