Two people are in critical condition Friday morning due to injuries they suffered in a two-vehicle crash in Hancock Park where one person was ejected in the crash.

The collision was reported at 1:40 a.m. Friday at Highland Avenue and Third Street where a black Hyundai and a gray Honda crashed into each other, trapping one person inside the Hyundai, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller told City News Service.

One of the vehicles slammed into a wall and the other hit a light pole, Miller said.

Two people were taken to hospitals by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel in critical condition. LAFD firefighters were able to free the victim from the wreckage of the Hyundai, police said.

Debris from the collision was scattered across the busy intersection, video from the scene showed.
