A palm tree caught fire Saturday near a three-story apartment building in Koreatown but firefighters kept it from spreading to the structure.
The fire was reported at 3:27 p.m. Saturday at 129 N. Oxford Ave., south of Beverly Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jamie Stewart.
By 3:46 p.m., the fire was out and the building was safe, Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
