One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Hawthorne Sunday.
The crash was reported at 11:48 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Inglewood Avenue, according to the Hawthorne Police Department.
Responding officers located four involved vehicles with significant damage and multiple injured people. Two occupants required extrication from one of the vehicles, according to the HPD.
A total of four people were rushed to a hospital, including one who succumbed to injuries upon arriving at the hospital, and two who were listed in extremely critical condition, according to the HPD.
The name of the deceased was not immediately made public.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
The Hawthorne Police Department Traffic Bureau responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
