An 18-year old man who was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash when his vehicle landed in an embankment in Sunland was identified Wednesday by county authorities.
Keler Canan Moya was determined to be the victim by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.
Firefighters responded at approximately 6:05 p.m. May 11 to the 11100 block of Oro Vista Avenue in Sunland, near Big Tujunga Road and Oro Vista Park to conduct a rescue operation following reports of a vehicle that had rolled over following a traffic accident, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Moya was pronounced dead at the scene, while a female victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton. A third unidentified victim was taken to a hospital in fair condition, she said.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division is investigating the cause of the crash.
